My sister is here!!!

We made a little stop at the Ghirardelli chocolate shop!!

More JUNK FOOD! This shop was called "Candyland" I wonder why??? lol

We got a bunch of different flavored taffy that we had never seen before! We got 2 of each flavor so we could both try them! A few that we go were: Cinnamon roll, gingerbread, pumpkin pie, raspberry lemonade, honey, egg nog, key lime, red licorice, guava, juicy pear, huckleberry, hot chocolate, cotton candy, chocolate chip cookie, mint chocolate chip, pineapple, etc. They were fun to sit and eat when we got home! ha ha!

Walking down Cannery Row to check out the shops!

Of course we HAD to stop by the Harley Davidson shop too!

We ate dinner in downtown Monterey. The food was ok, but the dessert was EVEN BETTER. They had so many vareties of cakes, brownies, pies, cookies, etc. We chose the oreo brownie and a lemon cake that was SO good. It was like 8 layers!

My wonderful sister Alayna is here visiting me! She arrived on Thursday night and will be here until Monday. We have been able to do a lot so far. Jon was gone for an overnight trip with army to practice shooting out in the field, so we were able to have some girl time! We did miss Jon, but we still had fun! I took her around Monterey, and some other nearby cities. We did shopping, ate at different places, went site seeing, and went to the aquaruim! We had a lot of fun. We brought my friend from school on our little shopping trip! Alayna was also able to go to Jon's class at school for a couple hours on friday, to see what it is like and to see what we do everyday. I introduced her to some of my spanish teachers, and showed her my class. It has been great having her here! My family will all be coming out in not too long, to see me graduate! Im excited to see them all!

The Shamu show at Sea World

After seeing the show, I decided I WANT to be one of the ones that swim with the whales!

Our hotel, Coronado CA, RIGHT on the beach!!

Touring cousin Carol's amazing garden

I have to laugh at how much tanner I am than Jon (he is glowing!)

Breakfast with the cousins! This is Jon and his cousin Debbie!

The other day Jon told me one of his favorite things to do is to make me laugh, he never fails!!!
Must be some GOOOOOOOOD hot chocolate, huh Jon?!

Me with the cousins! Angelique and Monica!! They are WONDERFUL! I love em'!!

We had a wonerful vacation this past weekend! My wonderful husband took me to San Diego! I have never been before, and it was great! My only complaint would have been the weather. It was cold, overcast, rainy (and I mean POURING!!), and even snowing near L.A. on Monday!! The ONLY day that the weather held out for us was the day we went to Sea World! We went to San Diego mainly to have a break and to visit his relatives down there. They came up to my wedding, and were THE LIFE OF THE PARTY there! They are a blast to be around!! I love them to death! Here are some of the things that Jon and I were able to do:
-Spend most our time with his relatives
-Go to Sea World on Valentines Day (Jon let me pick the activity, figures I chose Sea World! See previous post about animals LOL)
-Go to dinner with cousins that evening
-Went to cousin Debbie's darling flower shop to see the flowers she was selling for Val Day!
-Spent several nights in a hotel on the beach
-Tour cousin Carol's amazing garden (which literally took HOURS because its so big and detailed! Her husband constructed the whole thing too!)
-Go to dinner in Little Italy in downtown San Diego with cousins
-After some great Italian Food, we all walked around Downtown, and then his cousin Angelique drove us by the coast, she was a great tour guide!
-Go to breakfast with everyone Monday morning (pouring rain that day!)
-Went to Anaheim to visit our friends, Matt and Melissa and their 4 kids. They live in Utah but just happened to be staying in a Condo in Anaheim to go to Disneyland that weekend.
-Got stuck in bad weather and could not make it home Monday. We are SO greatful that Matt and Melissa let us crash at the condo for the night!
-Had breakfast Tues morn at the condo (Jon and I were supposed to be at school Tues, but had to miss because of the storm that hit SO Cal)
-Drove home!!
We had a great time! I love Jon's relatives! They were so accomidating to our needs, and are just so fun!
I also have to say, that I have the most wonderful husband in the world! I will argue with anyone that I have the best man! Everyday I see more and more how much he loves me, would to ANYTHING for me. Jon lives his life ONLY to make me happy, and I know sometimes (a lot of times) I dont deserve it because I can be a big brat!! LOL
Thanks Jon for our wonderful trip together! It was a great Valentines day! Love you!

Michelle, Child at Heart

I always tell Jon that I love animals more than human beings-LOL. Animals are so innocent and they are at the mercy of us humans, to treat them right. Sunday Jon took me to feed the ducks/birds. We have done this before a few months ago, this time was more fun I think. Jon let me feed them the whole loaf of bread myself!! This may seem like an activity that only kids like to do, which I DID used to do with my family when I was little, but my love for animals (every single species!) will never ever change, no matter how old I get!! It was so cute, I felt like I had a little family following me because all of the birds were right by my side and behind me, walking around the whole park. I have some good videos that Jon recorded of me feeding them, but I am having a hard time putting them on tonight, so I will have to try to post them later. This last picture is so awesome, Jon got an action shot of the bread just about to fall into the goose's mouth!! One of these geese was right by my side walking with me, I felt like I was walking a dog! LOL. Anyway, as juvenile as it may seem, I love animals! :)

Super Bowl Sunday!!

This is how the game went, Jon watching, and me not paying attention!

Rick, me, Jon and Jewels (dog)

The hosts of the Party! Our wonderful friends the Olson's!

Princess Michelle with her princess jewels!

Me, Hannah, and Kayla (all 3 princesses!)

We were able to watch the Super bowl at our friends house on Sunday! A few friends from school got together to watch the game. It was a blast! Laura is a wonderful cook and had a ton of appetizers plus dinner for us! I brought the dessert, which everyone seemed to like. The guys watched the game, while Hannah, Kayla, and I played dress up and watched movies. I hate to say it, but I really am not a huge football fan. I mean, its ok and I have nothing against it, but I would much rather play dress up with 2 cute girls (plus the football games are not nearly as exciting for Jon to watch when I am there because all I do is ask questions..). I did however watch the last five minutes of the game, which was disappointing for all the guys at the house. It turned out to be so fun and we love our friends!!

Spanish Immersion

Me, Our Spanish teacher from Cuba, and my best friend Cris!

The food table!
Cristina and I doing some kind of dance..lol

Senior Petzol and I dancing!
Somos mejores AMIGAS!!

This is a video clip of 3 students and 3 teachers dancing! (I'm not really sure what my friend is doing at the very end of this clip, I guess we were just hyper!)

About 2 weeks ago, I was able to attend a Spanish Immersion with my spanish class. It was so much fun! It was an overnight event, so we got to stay in some barracks on the Old Fort Ord base about 15 minutes away from school. The idea of the Immersion was to ONLY speak spanish for the 2 days straight. We were NOT allowed to speak any english whatsoever! It was difficult at times, and of course all of us slipped and would speak english here and there. There were activities, games, dancing, music, and mexican food! It was so much fun! I came out of there being able to speak MUCH better than before the Immersion! It's funny...I found myself starting to think all the time in spanish a few weeks ago, and now the past few nights I have been DREAMING in spanish!! HA HA!!
