Scarlett's hair is starting to get long! Looks like she will have curls!!
Scarlett getting her diaper changed in the car. My mom's comment: "Looks like a day at the spa for her!"
I dyed my hair all dark.....not sure that I love it. People didn't think Scarlett looked like me before? Now I REALLY don't look like I am Scarlett's mother! I'm just too indecisive with my hair. Now I want it lighter again!
This little girl gets SO much attention when we go out and about. People
LOVE her, and she always brings smiles to everyone!!
We look nothing alike!! (it may have something to do with my tan too.....haha)
Painted toe nails
I can't get enough of her feet!! Love these little toes!!
We love that Nordstrom has balloons! We stop there every time we go to the mall, just to get a balloon! (I don't know if there is any kid out there that loves balloons as much as Scarlett! She can spot them from a mile away!!)
Funny story. Maybe I am just too used to the Utah tradition of giving your neighbors cookies or banana bread. I had to laugh a little yesterday when our sweet neighbors brought over a bowl of CRABS!! Only in Maryland I guess!! It was very sweet of them, Jon said they were great. I don't eat seafood (only salmon). Mike (our neighbor) actually went out caught them! They still had dirt on them when he brought them over (don't worry, they were dead). I guess I need to get used to the Maryland ways! I'm sure all my neighbors out here would react the same as I did about the crabs, if I brought them chocolate chip cookies!!
In a bucket at Home Depot
We went to Toys R Us and got a few Summer toys! She loved this car! We also got sidewalk chalk, bubbles, and her own shopping cart!
There have been several times lately, that Scarlett and I have been wearing matching clothes. I promise I didn't plan it, or even notice for that matter, until random people pointed it out!! Here is one of those days! (I had to cut my face out on this one, bad face/hair day!)
Scarlett absolutely loves attention from strangers. She will stand in front of somebody that she doesn't know, and wait until they acknowledge her. Sometimes she will wait until they look at her, and then she will wave "Hi" at them. Here she is patiently waiting for this random girl, to look at her. Too funny!!
My sister, Scarlett, and I, with Abe Lincoln at Gettysburg! One of the MANY fun things we got to do while Alayna was here visiting!
Before
After
We have two rambunctious dogs that bark....at everything. My sister was kind enough to help me put in this fence weave (my brilliant idea so the dogs can't see everything to bark at!) It took us about 2 hours just to do the front side of the fence!! I am so proud of our work. We also received praises from random neighbors as they drove by while we were out doing it.
Scarlett with her Hershey's kiss shaped balloon while we visited Chocolate World! (SIX bucks for this balloon! Are you kidding me??!)
Scarlett's first visit to the beach. This Beach is called Sandy Point State Park. The best part about it? It's literally about two miles from my house. The worst part about it? You have to pay per person in your vehicle to get into the Park every time (4 dollars per person). It would be nice if the beach access was FREE!! As you can see, Scarlett did NOT enjoy her first time at the beach. She was terrified of the waves!
Alayna and I in front of the White house! We had fun in D.C!
Scarlett enjoying D.C. as well!
We went to Arlington National Cemetery on Memorial Day. Perfect day to go.
It was amazing how many headstones there are. This picture is nothing compared to what is really there!
'Tomb of the Unknown Soldier' It was awesome because two hours before we were there, President Obama had come to this exact place and presented this Wreath in Honor of Memorial Day. Crazy to think the President was exactly where we were, only a few hours earlier!
We spent a day at the Baltimore Aquarium with Aunt Alayna!
After the Aquarium we went to The Hard Rock Cafe for lunch!
